Jersey City Museum houses a praiseworthy permanent collection and unique changing exhibitions, with the mission of presenting and interpreting American visual art and material culture. It's located in the historic Van Vorst district of Jersey City, a few blocks north of Jersey City Medical Center. The permanent collection holds more than 20,000 works, including 300 pieces by the painter August Will, many images from the photographer William Armbruster, and much more.
Open Wed. and Fri. 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Thurs. 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.; Sat. - Sun. noon - 5:00 p.m.
Adults $4; Seniors and Students $2; Children under 12 are free.
